TypeHey Terms of Use

1. The service

TypeHey is an AI voice-typing tool: you speak, we turn your voice into text, tidy up punctuation and filler words (or translate it into a language you choose), and type it at your cursor. It runs on Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad.

2. Your account

You can sign in with a phone number, Google or Apple. Keep your devices and account secure; activity under your account is treated as yours. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

3. Free quota and paid time

• Each account gets free time every month, reset monthly; the current amount is shown in the app.
• Purchased time never expires. Free time is used first, then purchased time.
• Billing is based on the time you actually speak; pauses are not counted.

4. Auto-renewing subscriptions

• On iPhone / iPad you can subscribe to monthly auto-renewing time packs; the matching time is added to your account at the start of each period. Prices are as shown in the App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the next period is charged within 24 hours before the current one ends.
• Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. After cancelling, the current period stays active and time already added to your account is kept.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use TypeHey for anything illegal, to infringe others’ rights, to attack or disrupt our service, or to mass-register or resell accounts. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

6. AI-generated text

Recognition, clean-up and translation are done by AI and may contain mistakes or omissions. Please review before sending or relying on it, especially numbers, names and anything important. You are responsible for what you type and send with TypeHey.

7. Intellectual property

What you say and the text produced belong to you. The TypeHey software, interface and brand belong to us.

8. Limitation of liability

We work to keep the service reliable but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses from using or being unable to use the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will notify you in the app of material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. For downloads from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
