Coding by voice
Talk to Claude Code instead of typing
With AI coding tools, the slow part is often not the code — it’s writing a clear prompt: the context, what to change, what to watch out for. Spoken, that takes seconds.

How it works
In Terminal, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code, hold right ⌥ (right Ctrl on Windows) and describe what you want. TypeHey removes fillers, resolves restarts, turns “first, second” into a list, and drops a clean prompt into the input.
Technical terms stay as you said them: say “the useEffect dependency is wrong” in a Chinese sentence and you still get useEffect and dependency, untranslated.
It presses Enter for you
In Terminal, Claude Code, Codex and VS Code, TypeHey counts down a few seconds and presses Enter. Want to edit first? Press Esc and nothing is sent. The countdown is adjustable.
Start Claude in your project with one sentence
Hold left ⌥ and say “start Claude in voice-typer” — Terminal opens, jumps into the project folder, and starts Claude Code.
FAQ
Which AI coding tools work?
Anything with a text input: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, VS Code extensions. Auto-Enter currently works in Terminal, Claude Code, Codex and VS Code.
Is it good for dictating code itself?
It shines for describing what you want and letting the AI write the code. Reading out code symbol by symbol isn’t what it’s for.
Do you keep my prompts?
No. We don’t store audio or text.
